WildEdge NetWalk - Fulneck and Tong

  • Opposite The Bankhouse Inn, Pudsey 40 Bankhouse Lane Pudsey, England, LS28 8EB United Kingdom (map)

In May we are exploring the beautiful verdant valley that lies on the border of Leeds and Bradford, located just 20 minutes from the centres of both cities.

A far cry from stuffy conference rooms and 30-second-business-card-blitzing, our netwalks allow you to build actual deep relationships, all while giving yourself time and space out of the office, in a beautiful setting away from noise and distractions.

Exercise your mind

Our monthly WildEdge NetWalk runs every second Friday of the month, and offers a great opportunity to get outdoors and network with other local business owners and professionals, in stunning locations and with a relaxed atmosphere.

If you want to connect with other real people for business and work, but normal stand-in-a-room-and-deliver-your-pitch-networking doesn't do it for you, this netwalking event is where you need to be.

The Walk

We will meet, ready to walk, at 1230, opposite the Bankhouse Inn in Fulneck, Pudsey.

We will head down into the woods to the beck at the valley bottom. We'll follow the gentle stream before crossing the road and heading back into the woods on the other side of the valley. We'll follow the valley before climbing into Tong and stopping for an ICE CREAM at the delectable Goodalls of Tong (all ice creams FREE and on us).

Saited and powered by sugar, we'll head back down to the beck, before a final push up the hill to the Inn.

This event will be guided by Ant from WildEdge Worx.

Your guide - Ant

I'm Ant, co-founder of WildEdge Worx.

I take executives, business owners and leadership teams on epic adventures into the hills and mountains, to get them out of their heads, and find clarity.

I have 20 years’ experience working with people in business, from the shop floor to the Boardroom, across Transformation Programmes, Business Consultancy, Operational Management, Strategy Development and Business Coaching.

I’ve always been a strong believer in how environment can shape our thinking, our patterns and our habits, particularly how a big change in thinking needs a radical displacement from your every-day routines.

So in 2021, I combined my expertise and walking in the outdoors, forming Mountain Boardroom, giving leaders and founders time and space free from distractions, to spark extraordinary thinking in extraordinary mountain landscapes.

I’m a Mountain Leader and qualified Outdoor First Aider, with inside knowledge of some of the most epic walking routes in the UK.

Questions? Check out our FAQ:

  • Our view on the weather is that you can get as much benefit (if not more!) from expeditions in poor conditions as you can in perfect conditions. If we believe that the weather poses a significant risk to your safety, we will cancel the event and issue a refund to all participants. text goes here

  • Safety is at the core of what we do. Ant is a fully qualified Mountain Leader and Hill and Moorland Leader, and is experienced in ‘old-skool’ navigation (and ‘new-skool’ navigation too), outdoor first aid and leading groups safely. WildEdge Worx is covered by specialist insurance to run our events.

  • Yes! You are welcome to bring your companion along. We do ask that your dog starts on a lead, is well-behaved and calm, and you are mindful of others in the group who may not be as curious/enthusiastic about your friend as they are about others!

  • Events will be arranged to start in locations where parking is available. We endeavour to make events reachable by public transport, but this isn't always possible. The event briefing will contain further information.

  • I provide a recommended 'kit list', but generally I recommend bringing a sturdy pair of boots/shoes suitable for walking in, a light, waterproof jacket and enough layers for the weather we expect.

  • Most walks will be accessible for most people. WildEdge Worx has 5 walk grades - Light, Moderate, Challenging, Tough and Extreme. All NetWalks are ranked between light and moderate. 'Light' covers most flat routes, 'Moderate' has some short hill climbs.

  • Priorities, right? We'll head to a cafe/inn/pub at the end of the walk - for anyone who comes along, I'll get the first drink

  • If it's 7 days or more prior to the event, message me and I'll refund you. I absorb Eventbrite fees in the ticket price, so you may still need to pay these. Between 2 and 7 days, I will offer you a free place on another Wellness Walk. Less than 2 days - no worries, but no refund, sorry!

  • We have a maximum of 15 people on each walk. I find that in groups larger than this, there will be too many people that you don't get a chance to talk to! Occasionally in quieter periods of the year we may have a smaller group, which means deeper conversations.

  • Not a question, but yes, you do. Please contact us to find out about running private events on behalf of your company, either as a team-building exercise, or to bring clients, prospects and partners in your industry together.
