Why Leaders Need the Wild: The Rewilding Retreat Story

For the past four years, the Rewilding retreats have become one of the most powerful things we do at WildEdge.

It started as an experiment.

Claire had held a long-standing belief that founders and leaders think differently when they step away from their normal environment. Not in a conference room. Not in another strategy session. But walking, swimming, talking and thinking in wild places.

So she ran the first retreat in the Lake District.

What has happened since has surprised even us.

Across those retreats we have watched women arrive carrying the invisible weight of leadership. The responsibility. The decisions. The constant mental noise that comes with running a business.

And then something shifts.

Not because of a framework or a presentation.

But because space changes how people think.

Over time the retreats have become a place where leaders reconnect with clarity, courage and direction.

In the latest WildEdge podcast episode, we talk about what we have witnessed across those four years.

And for the first time, Ant shares why the moment feels right to introduce something new.

A men’s Rewilding retreat.

Different conversation.
Different dynamics.
Same principle.

Sometimes the clearest thinking happens when you step away from the noise.
